A Walk in the Woods
Bryson is really funny. He has several books about his adventures traveling the world. This one makes me laugh every time with his personality depiction's and the silly messes he gets into as an old out of shape man hiking the Appalachian Trail.
A Year in the World
Frances Mayes also wrote Under the Tuscan Sun. This is about Mayes and her husband traveling around the world for a year, lodging in flats and cooking with Italian chefs. A good beach (or lake) read.
Oh the Places You'll Go
The original travel book in my mind. It was the first book read to me about all of the place I can go.
I Married Adventure
This book is visually interesting. There are lots of pictures and graphics that are really fun. It's kind of like looking at her personal journal with notes scratched in here and there. It's worth checking out.
