New Business

Speaking of talented friends, Leah, the owner of Flourish Floral Design has partnered with Sarah C Photography for some amazing styled photo sessions.  There new venture called Fresh Collection is going to be a huge hit in Knoxville. You really should schedule a session now, because these two are going to be booked!

I have been working on some branding pieces for them including logo, web pieces and printed materials.  Here's what we have so far.

Happy Friday!

Branding

I have so many talented friends it's ridiculous.  I have the privilege of creating and designing most of their business branding, so really I'm the lucky one.  Here are a couple that I've done this summer.

Jonathan Dean: Musician and Songwriter
Business Cards

Matt Millican: Farrier
Business Cards

They both have a country feel, kind of rustic and rugged.

Another Design

We've been so busy the last couple of months, it's really hard to find time to blog.  Here are some more projects that I have been working on.

I designed these for my father-in-laws painting business.  He's been a professional painter for over 20 years but never had professional business cards to hand out, so we thought it was about time.

We had them printed on thick pearl card stock.  It gives a simple yet sophisticated feel.

Happy Monday!

Invitations

As much as I love photographing a couple, I love putting the photos into a custom design.  It makes everything more personal and guest love to get fun invitations.  I'm looking forward to this amazing wedding in October!

I hand painted the leaf wreath using the wedding colors and added it to the design.

This invitation was so much fun.  It included so many personal items, like the story of how they met.

The page number is the date they started dating.... so cute!

They also decided to have an RSVP postcard attached to the according insert.  It's a great idea that is cost conscious and sets a vibe for the wedding, casual and relaxing.

On the main invitation we opted to do a picture of the couple on the back so guest can hang it on their fridge or even frame it long after the wedding.

I love accordion invitations.

Happy Friday!

Abingdon Farmers Market

Along with a move to the country into a bigger house, way more land, a pond for the dogs, and nothing but the birds chirping, is exploring towns around us.  I went over to Abingdon on Saturday after hearing about how great the farmers market is.  I already miss Johnson City's farmers market especially the homemade doughnuts!  Here is some of the great produce and goodies I found.

Yellow Squash $1.00  Mini Eggplant perfect for the recipe at the bottom : )

One pound of red and green okra $1.00   Half a dozen fresh corn $2.50

Fresh whole wheat bread $4.50  Oh, and I dehydrated my tomatoes from our own garden, so good!

I'm loving the epicurous app on my Ipad where I found this recipe.  We have this quite a bit because it's like comfort without meat. mmm.....

Happy Wednesday!
